I create art that is inspired by my faith in God and hunger for truth.
Many aspects of life are invisible to the eye yet their presence may be detected by our other senses. Emotion, spirituality, moral conscience, gut instinct, thought processes, mental struggles, truth, doubt, even God himself, can all be described as hidden from view to some degree. I explore these hidden and invisible elements of life through art, looking particularly at the relationships and tensions that form between each of them and the physical.
I create to instigate honest conversations between myself, God and others. It is with vulnerable honesty that I paint the soul and in truth that I paint the spiritual as accurately as my understanding allows. Painting such abstract subjects requires serious consideration, particularly where these elements collide on a single surface. I hope that viewers will be inspired to further explore the thoughts that I present through art, hopefully questioning and forming their own opinions on each subject.
