We have arrived back in the UK after our second trip to Uganda where once again we worked in partnership with PFJ to paint some more murals for St,Marks school in Buwasunguyi. This year we painted a mix of educational and spiritual murals. The trip lasted approximately two weeks with about half that time being dedicated to painting. Whilst we were there we saw a lot of very exciting progress take place in the village as the school was not only painted on the inside, the exterior walls were also covered and painted and the medical centre next door was restocked with huge amounts of life saving medication as well as having work done on it's solar panel!
"Then Jesus used this illustration: "A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed. Finally, he said to his gardener, 'I've waited three years, and there hasn't been a single fig! Cut it down. It's taking up space we can use for something else.'
The gardener answered, 'Give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I'll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer. If we get figs next year, fine. If not, you can cut it down.'" (Luke 13:6-9)
