A few of weeks ago I got speaking to a really lovely couple who had recently started out on a new adventure with God. It hadn't been easy...God had asked them to quit a high paid, successful job and start a new business. It was really nice watching them work at this new job, you could see that they were greatly enjoying themselves and it was obviously the right thing for them to be doing. But it was when talking to one of them about taking this step of faith, that I really started thinking hard....
Above are some images of artwork used to illustrate the message at our most recent youth led service at church. We were looking at the subject of Fear and how it can hold us back from going on adventures with God and can stop us from trusting him with our whole hearts and every area of our lives.

Last Sunday we looked at Habakkuk and found that he was struggling to see God in the chaos around him. As it was the youth lead service, I worked with some of the young people at church and we did a sort of 'modern day twist' on the book of Habakkuk and looked at how we can apply what we learn from him today... The Great Commission
Then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him - but some of them still doubted! Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given complete authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:16-20 |
